Write Your Own Email

If you’re ready to craft your own message from scratch and send it to a targeted audience—or even the entire database—Write Your Own is where the magic happens. It supports blast email, giving you the freedom to communicate exactly what you want to the contacts who need to hear it.


💡 What It Is

Write Your Own is your blank canvas for personalized email campaigns. Whether you’re announcing an event, delivering a market update, or just saying “thank you,” you can:

  • Write a fully custom email
  • Include links, images, and formatting
  • Send to any TagAudience, or select individuals (up to 10 manually)
  • Schedule immediately or for a future date

🛠️ How It Works

  1. Go to Write Your Own on the left-hand menu.
  2. Click Create New.
  3. Use the blank template to:
    • Write your message
    • Add a subject line
    • Insert links or images
    • Choose your font, closing, and optional P.S. line
    • Select or customize your signature
  4. Do this before selecting recipients to avoid accidental sends!

👥 Choosing Recipients

You can send your custom email to:

  • Tags (e.g., Past Clients, Leads)
  • Audiences (predefined groups)
  • Individuals (up to 10 at a time)

Need to exclude a group? Use the Exclusions box to filter them out.


📅 Schedule or Send

Once everything is in place:

  • Click Schedule to send now or later
  • Or PreviewSave, or Delete your draft
  • Scheduled, saved, and sent messages all display in one easy-to-navigate list

📊 Reporting

All emails sent through Write Your Own appear in the Reporting tab with full analytics:

  • Delivered
  • Opens
  • Clicks
  • Opt-outs
  • Spam flags

(You’ll find this under the same tab as Blast Emails.)
