How to Import Contacts from Other Platforms
To help us personalize your messaging and make sure the right people hear from you, here are easy ways to export your contacts from common places.
📲 Phone & Email Contacts
iPhone Contacts (Apple instructions here)
- Go to iCloud.com and sign in.
- Click Contacts.
- In the bottom-left corner, click the gear icon > Select All > Export vCard.
- This downloads a .vcf file, which can be converted to CSV using an online tool.
- Optional: Use the “Contacts Backup” app from the App Store for one-step export to email.
Android Contacts (Google instructions here)
- Go to contacts.google.com and sign in with the same Gmail used on their phone.
- Click Export in the left sidebar.
- Choose Google CSV or Outlook CSV, then click Export to download the file.
- If not syncing to Google, open the Contacts app on their phone > Settings > Export > Save to internal storage.
Gmail / Google Contacts (Same as for Android here)
- Visit contacts.google.com.
- Click Export.
- Choose which contacts to export (All or custom label).
- Select Google CSV format and download.
Outlook Contacts (Microsoft instructions here)
- Open Outlook on the web or desktop.
- Go to File > Open & Export > Import/Export.
- Choose Export to a file, then Comma Separated Values (CSV).
- Select the Contacts folder and export.
Apple Mail / iCloud Contacts (Mac)
- Open Contacts on the Mac.
- Select All (Cmd + A), then click File > Export > Export vCard.
- To convert to CSV, use an online tool.
🖥️ CRM Platforms
kvCORE
- Go to Smart CRM.
- Select desired contacts or all.
- Click More Actions > Export.
Follow Up Boss
- Go to People.
- Filter if needed.
- Use the gear icon > Export CSV.
Lofty / Chime
- Go to Leads > Lead List.
- Select All > More > Export.
BoomTown
- Admins can export under CRM > Leads > Export.
Real Geeks
- Go to Leads tab.
- Use the export button (if enabled) or request a CSV from support.
Salesforce
- Use Data Export under Setup.
- Choose Contacts and export CSV.
- Only available to users with export permissions.
MLS / Transaction Systems
- Ask the member to log into their MLS and download their transaction history or closings.
- Most MLSs allow export to CSV for active and closed listings.
- This is useful for move-in anniversary campaigns.
📱 Social Media
- Go to linkedin.com > Me > Settings & Privacy.
- Under Data Privacy, choose Get a copy of your data.
- Select Connections, then request archive.
- They’ll receive a CSV via email.
Facebook (Facebook instructions here)
- Go to Settings > Accounts Center > Download your information.
- Select profile(s) and choose what/how to download or transfer.
- Click Submit request, then download from Available downloads.
Instagram (Instagram instructions here)
- Go to Instagram Settings > Accounts Center > Download your information.
- Select your account, choose what data to download and how.
- Click Submit request, then download it from Available downloads.
